The literal translation of the title of this film is: Yong Zheng Dynasty.
Yong Zheng, the fifth emperor of Manchu dynasty, and the third Qing ruler who ruled China, is generally portrayed as a devil who killed many intellectuals. His achievement is therefore willfully ignored by historian and this TV-series had honestly faced the history, giving him the credits that he deserves, which was denied for so long.
