  • When Chi McBride is in his office, he says, "I'm gettin' too old for this shit!" He then looks up at a picture of Danny Glover, who has said the same line in all of the "Lethal Weapon" films.

  • Several other photos are also hanging in the Chief's office: Philip Michael Thomas from "Miami Vice" (1984); Richard Pryor; Andre Braugher; and S. Epatha Merkerson (Lt. Van Buren) from "Law & Order" (1990).

  • Anton Jackson says, "Hollywood really *is* out to get Spike Lee?" Spike Lee is the director Malcolm D. Lee's cousin.

  • The moves Lance uses on the three security guards are all "Fatalities" from Mortal Kombat (1992) (VG).

  • As the B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D. team infiltrates the Man's compound in the "Island Fortress Cleaning Service" van, Dave Chappelle's tongue is green. Evidently he had been sucking on a piece of candy just before the scene was shot.

  • The left side of the island was deliberately designed to resemble the letter M, for "Man".

  • Denise Richards claims that her derriere was digitally enlarged for the film's cover and promotional material.

  • Gary Anthony Williams ("Smart Brother") originally provided the voice of Undercover Brother on the Internet animated series (on which this film is based).

  • Dave Chappelle's character makes fun of the character Bubba from Forrest Gump (1994) when he is talking about movies. In fact, Chappelle was offered the role of Bubba, but turned it down because he thought the film wouldn't make any money.

  • The building used as the Island Fortress is actually a water filtration plant in the Beaches area of Toronto. It has been the scene of other movies, including the mental institution in _In the Mouth of Madness (1994)_. Filming can no longer take place inside this building following the terrorist attacks on the USA of 11 September 2001.

  • Undercover Brother's license plate is "SOLID" - and when the rear license plate lowers to reveal gun turrets, the area reads "SUCKA".

  • The in-movie commercial advertising "General's Fried Chicken" uses the same company name and logo from a commercial within the African-American movie Drop Squad (1994) in which "General's Fried Chicken" is also featured, and parodied in the same manner.

  • In some scenes, and in a deleted scene, you see Lance, played by Neil Patrick Harris, taking the Chief’s pulse, and helping him roll around and change The Chief’s IV... this is a in joke, since Neil Patrick Harris, played Doogie Howser on TV.

  • In addition to Lance's "fatalities," other seeming references to Mortal Kombat video games include Undercover Brother's flying kick pose reminiscent of a Liu Kang move and Mr. Feather's wrist-blades during the final fight mirroring those of Baraka from Mortal Kombat II.
