In the 13 c. Yoan Asen ruled Bulgaria. The king is good and wise ruler, but very authoritative as well. He realizes that prolonged wars have exhausted his people and decided to uphold peace by all means. His solution is to marry several times in order to protect the interests of the state. He even sends his only love to a monastery. Following his goal, King Yoan Asen sacrifices the personal happiness of his brother and his daughter as well. During the shooting Apostol Karamitev, who played the main role of King Yoan Asen died. Kosta Tsonev who played the role of the brother had to continue in both roles - of the brother and of the King Yoan Asen. See more »
