Govinda and Sanjay Dutt started working in action films together in the late 80's TAAQATWAR, DO QAIDI and then ANDOLAN(1994) which didn't work In 1999 they returned with HASEENA MAAN JAYEGI directed by DD This is their 2nd film togetherThe movie doesn't have a new story, mix DO AUR DO PAANCH, mix Govinda's JORU KA GHULAM(2000) and Sanjay Dutt's KHOOBSURAT(1999) and many other films of DD and you get this filmAfterall DD films don't have new storiesThe film deals with the same story of 2 crooks who come to loot a family but get involved and change themselvesThe comedy is good though sub standard If you enjoy Govinda type comedies then this is your cup of teaThere are some funny scenes and a lot of nonsense too The film also has love stories mixed in and also villainsThe ending is too contrived though funnyDirection by DD is okay Music is okayGovinda steals the show with his brand of comedy while Sanjay supports well Their chemistry is matchless Twinkle and Monica Bedi are the bimbos Amongst rest Sanjay Narvekar is okay Ashish Vidhyarthi and Anupam Kher are okay, thankfully Anupam doesn't ham much Sayaji Shinde is funny Mukesh Rishi is okay
