Storyline

Uncared for by the community, Rick, recently mad, is looking for somewhere warm to commit suicide. Instead he finds George, a downtrodden doormat of a man, recently separated. In turn they stumble upon the embittered, man-mountain that is Joe, recently bereaved. One game of pool and several drinks later these three disparate men are thrown together on a journey no-one wants to take, to a destination no-one believes exists, chased by a man no-one should meet. Then there's the Hippies, George's ex-wife, a robbery, drugs, amputation, muggings, Brownies, the Police, explosions and this really, really gorgeous girl. Written by Anonymous

An excellent comedy pathos movie.
8 October 2002 | by (Brighton, England) – See all my reviews

This is an excellent character driven independent movie, with comic twists and a totally unpredictable ending. The acting is superb from the stars to the supporting artists. The script is excellent with some lovely quotable lines such as "Jesus killed my Volvo" or "Redemption Road? I thought this was the A355" The 3 main characters are strongly mapped out and their emotional journeys are superb. Lloyd Stanton's direction is tight with a good understanding of the emotions while still retaining the comedy and it is beautifully shot by Riki Butland. I particularly loved the stone circle shot. This film also features a wonderful soundtrack. A definite must see.
