One Catchy Ditty
19 January 2004 | by (Pocatello, Idaho, USA) – See all my reviews

In this very short cartoon Mickey Mouse sings one of Disney's earliest songs, Minnie's Yoo Hoo. It's quite a catchy, memorable song, and I still find myself singing it in the shower or when I'm just bored. In the cartoon, the audience can follow Mickey and the narrator as the lyrics show up on screen. That's all there is to this cartoon, just short and sweet. One thing I found interesting is to see just how starkly different Mickey was drawn back then and how his body contorts at will. That's something you don't see in the modern Mickey Mouse drawings. Minnie's Yoo Hoo is a good and interesting piece of Disney history.
