Senario The Movie (the first) make me laugh and feel enjoy watching it. I think this first movie has an originality by its comedy parts. The theme also interesting. Senario Lagi (the second) make me just smile with the nonsense but I never laugh watching it, not for a once. The originality is not here. Aziz try to borrow the ideas from foreign movies (e.g. Mela). But now, what I never want to happen is happening. Lagi-Lagi Senario (the latest) came with the worst of what it can be. Local critics said that this is the most clever comedy ever made by Senario without any nonsense. I don't know why I can hear this phrase.
Maybe someone (a reporter) can say congratulations to Aziz for what he has done. But I can't. Once again, Aziz borrows the original plot from another movie. This time from his own telemovie titled Canai. With Azman Abu Hassan's part in Canai has changed to Wahid Senario, and Fairuz Loys' to Saiful Apek Senario. Aziz also make a bit more changes in the plot and parts. I don't think this is the problem with the movie. And I also don't think it is a false to remake an ideas, especially from his own. But is the movie and the story as good as he think? He said the local audience will be matured if they can accept what he tries to tell this time. But I never think what he told is good enough for matured audience.
What I can found here just a primary school's theme about bad Malay behaviours, not enough clever or unmatured metaphoric and figurative, bad quality of satires, and also Aziz's latest ideology (maybe someone know what I mean, try to take a look at his latest movie titled Idola and you will get it). I wonder where he put his creativities as in Baginda, Seri Dewi Malam, Puteri Impian, and also Senario The Movie. Is he already satisfied with what he got until this? I think it is very unsuitable to make Senario movies without nonsense because they are known because of this nonsense and the nonsense make audience entertain. If someone want to be mature, I think they already have the movies for that (e.g. Kaki Bakar, Perempuan Melayu Terakhir).
And if Aziz still want to make a kind of matured comedy with good satires, I hope he will refer and study more with movies like Wag The Dog, As Good As It Gets, American Beauty, A Clockwork Orange, and if these are too heavy for commercialism, at least tries There Something About Mary, Me Myself & Irene, or The Truman Show. Some of the Stephen Chow's movies from Hong Kong also are not too bad. Same with box-office comedies from directors Johnnie To and Wai Kar Fai.
