With a small town gal and a big macho guy, you just know that the plot is going to do it's actors in. But this film actually sustained it's story -which deals with sex, murder, and the depression it all causes in a small town. The performances are good, and the musical score suits the atmosphere. The only thing one might find wrong is the pacing of the film. The pacing is like that of an indie on hiatus(though this film was reportedly supposed to have been released everywhere at first)and the film never got full release everywhere because of it. But do what you will. This film has enough quality and acting to make up for the lulls.
