Incoherent porn, crudely slapped together
6 August 2010 | by See all my reviews

The very low print quality of the material used by Something Weird for its revival of this film on Volume 30 of its Dragon Art Theatre series makes evaluation difficult, but LAST SENSATION is clearly a bottom-percentile example of a 1-day-wonder.

Ric Lutze copes with a confusing role, seemingly ad libbed, of an overworked guy who everybody makes demands upon, at the office or simply to help with their homework (!) -again the porn thesps are way to old to play students but they do. He's even on the hook to find a copy of Lewis Carroll's Alice Through the Looking Glass for one of them, in a plot ploy that goes nowhere.

One time he arrives home late from the office, complaining that his car broke down and the guy who gave him a ride "tried to ball me". We have seen the pickup scene earlier, but a recurring soundtrack defect rendered it unintelligible, and there's no telling if some sort of homosex scene is missing here. In general, the sound recording/editing for this movie never approaches competency.

The sex footage is desultory with some fetish material included, notably the girls insist on applying baby oil to the guys, a switcheroo on the usual porn procedure. An unidentified actress playing Rick's wife Deirdre is quite unusual: wearing a blond wig with pig tails she is quite buxom with dark brown aureolae suggesting those of a recently pregnant woman -but the anonymous filmmakers write her out of the picture early on. Orgy finale by a fireplace is poorly staged and photographed -strictly filler.
