Storyline

Forces of evil, chaos, and destruction await. Not even protectors like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash, Hawkgirl or the Martian Manhunter may have a chance alone. But together as the Justice League, they are a metahuman force (and a hope) to be reckoned with. Written by RSchaff-2nd

Trivia

Although several actors reprised their voice roles from the shows Batman: The Animated Series (1992) and Superman (1996), conspicuously absent is Timothy Daly, who voiced Superman. He became unavailable after landing the lead role in the TV series The Fugitive (2000). However, this is the fourth consecutive animated series starring Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne/Batman: the aforementioned '92 series, The New Batman Adventures (1997) and Batman Beyond (1999) (not including guest appearances on Static Shock (2000) and The Zeta Project (2001)). The best written cartoon on TV
28 May 2003 | by See all my reviews

This show is absolutely amazing. What more can I say?! It's smart, with no fluff at all and puts a human spin to the comic book superhero genre without lacking in action. Pretty much in the same vein as Batman the animate series and Batman: Beyond. This show is so great and (dare I say) adult that it really puts the ultra campy, monkey written Super Friends to shame. The only complaints are the time and cliff hangers, Friday at 6 was a bad time for me personally so as a result I usually caught the tail end of the two parter or missed the resolution whenever I watched it. Since every episode is broken in to 2 parts it might be a good idea for cartoon network to expand the show to an hour. Other than that, top notch animation, amazing stories, great voice acting. Hey, what more could you want from a cartoon?
