As a group of Reploid terrorists threaten to crash a space station into the earth, Maverick Hunters X and Zero are in a race to build a weapon capable of neutralizing the terrorist threat. However, more lies beneath the surface of this plot as a new form of the Maverick Virus surfaces. But what ties does this virus have to Zero, and will the two Hunters be able to prevent the catastrophe? Written by Miriani
For quite a while, I thought "Mega Man X4" was the best in the "Mega Man X" series, but I was blown away with "Mega Man X5" which I think is the BEST of the "Mega Man X" games.
First off, the story is better than the previous game, and the soundtrack is really good too. There's also really cool new armors, and a different power-up system as well. As in X3 and X4, you can play as either X or Zero, so that hasn't changed there, but there's a couple new characters introduced to the series in this installment. Overall, this game is the best of the "X" series.
