Not What I Expected
4 December 2001 | by (U.S.A) – See all my reviews

I expected another live action Pooh show to be real neat. I remember the old "Pooh Corner" show so I thought this would be like it.

This one still has Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Owl, and Kessie. But where have Kanga, Roo, and Gopher gone? This just is not a good show. Owl just hasn't been the same since Hal Smith died. The new guy just isn't Owl! And Rabbit is a jerk! He's always bullying and bossing his friends around, he thinks he's better than everyone. Plus, the characters are weird looking!

The puppets just are strange looking. They look somewhat like the Pooh toy figures they had last year. They were small, fuzzy, and cute. These puppets aren't, and a recent episode, well...It was where Eeyore finds a "Dinosnore" bone and Tigger sets a trap for the Dinosnore with the bone and Eeyore struggles to read Rabbit's FREE BONE sign and he stupidly grabs the bone and is hung from a tree. Never knew Eeyore was that dumb. And how come they're not spelling everything correctly? On the cartoon, there were loads of spelling errors. "Hunny" is the only misspelled thing! So inconclusion, this show sucks! Don't see it. Watch the cartoon instead. And the newer Pooh cartoons aren't good either! They keep trying to shadow the old Pooh cartoons of the '60s and '70s. Ugh!!! So please, Book of Pooh, I do not recommend! -
