Trivia
A CD version was issued, featuring higher quality graphics and music, plus a 30 minute "audio drama". However, the rights to this version existed with Mindscape, not Lucas (supposedly, LucasArts did not have the means to produce a CD-ROM title at the time), and were lost permanently when Mindscape went bankrupt. While Loom as been reissued since, it is always as the original floppy version.

Lucas Arts took a chance with the SCUMM engine and made this terrifc game.
The best aspect of this game has got to be the story as you go along. Set in the future, you are Bobbin Threadbare, and 17 year old Weaver whom the rest of his village fears. Great game with great special effects. The other thing that really draws me in is that music.
This game is a very good buy, and the perfect game for beginners. If you can find it, then buy it. You'll be glad you did.
