Did You Know?

The white and blue windowpane check gown Honeysuckle Weeks wears as Alice Cottisloe in "Plots and Proposals" when she answers the door is the same costume Billie Piper (Fanny Price) wears in Mansfield Park (2007) (TV), Rosamund Stephen (Henrietta Musgrove) wears in Persuasion (2007) (TV), Victoria Hopkins wears in "The Regency House Party" (2004), and Emma Thompson wears in Sense and Sensibility (1995). The same costume is also worn in Byron (2003) (TV) by an extra at the London party where Byron meets Annabella Milbanke.See more »
Anachronisms: The sketch "Plots and Proposals" is set at the time of the Battle of Waterloo (1815), yet in the interiors of the country house, electrical light switches are clearly visible in almost every shot.See more »

WOW! This is a great show of sketches fantastically put together by Victoria Wood.

This show is a great mix of wonderfully funny sketches. It really is one of the only shows ever to have me constantly laughing for a straight hour. It was absolutely crammed with an all star cast and had me chuckling even hours after.

I stumbled across Dinnerladies by accident and loved Victoria Wood's work from there on. After watching other programmes such as Acorn Antiques, An Audience with Victoria Wood and Dinnerladies - this show has just proved that her talent as a comedienne just grows.

You cant miss it!
