Not bad

Michael Keaton plays a harried American banker trying to figure out what happened to the money for a movie being shot in France, only to become embroiled in a laundering scheme being run by the Russian mafia. Murder and mayhem ensue, and Keaton is soon on the run, after being mistaken for the killer of a prominent French politician. Of course he has been set up, having turned down a sizable bribe, and now both the police and the mafia are after him. It doesn't help that some of the cops and even one of his banking buddies are on the take. A little bit of Hitchcock can be felt in this, and Keaton isn't half-bad as the wronged man. He is in terrific shape for a middle-aged duffer, and gives as good he gets. Michael Caine is along for the ride as the over-the-hill action star of the phony movie, and comes to Keaton's aid in the second half. It's a formula pic that went straight to video here, but it looks great and the location photography in the south of France is wonderful. The villains aren't all that villainous, but you can't have everything in a low-budget action video.
