Strictly a product of the '30s...cornball stuff for nostalgia addicts...
Clunky little short featuring JOHNNY LITTLE AND HIS ORCHESTRA, a little known band featuring Johnny as conductor and pianist. Here he's supposed to be a sailor in a nightclub, so we get to see him perform at the keyboard as well as render a couple of songs. His girlfriend, MILDRED FENTON, plays Lulu, a gal who walks off with another sailor at the end--which has Johnny doing a frenetic version of "Somebody Stole My Gal" for the conclusion.
These Warner Vitaphone shorts were obviously low-budget items that played on double bills as an extra added attraction.
Little can be said for production values, script or any of the performances. This is definitely one of the more forgettable items from the past.
