This is a fun CDROM that my cousins introduced me to while I babysat them in 1999. Playing it with them was really fun.
Jiminy Cricket gets bored reading the same IL' stories with happy endings, so he decides to have some fun by making you guess which endings he tore out of the book. But in doing that, he left the villains without their defeat and the heroes without their triumph. The Blue Fairy informs the cricket what he has done, so he and "you" have to go into the storybook, fight the villains and save the heroes.
There is a lot of fun to be had in the various games: have a swordfight with Captain Hook and thwart his hooligan crew, mix a True Love potion for Snow White using the Evil Queen's magic concoctions, save Dumbo from the mean clowns, and take Alice thru the topiary maze filled with danger. Just when you think everything's been taken care of, the villains steal the torn book pages and you face off with each villain firing projectiles at you: cannonballs, poisoned apples, custard pies and croquet balls!!! If you can somehow defeat the evildoers, you will be rewarded by magical toys and games which will be loads of fun.
Only problem I can think of with this game is that once it's played, it's the same scenario over and over. Some kids might tire of it after they've conquered it a few times. Still it's one of the better video games out there for kids.
