Controversial but good show

Despite the negative reviews of this show, I think `Cheaters' is a good show to watch. However, I don't think it is a show that can be watched everyday due to the violent confrontations that occasionally occur and the fact that someone ends up getting hurt (i.e. someone is getting lied to, families torn apart). I'm pretty sure that `Cheaters', like any other reality show, does its fair share of selecting stories/cases and editing the content. So maybe all the cases that we see on this show are just the `interesting' ones that they know audiences will enjoy. I think viewers should keep in mind that not everyone who cheats does it simply because they're horny but for other reasons-their partner isn't emotionally there for them, physical/ psychological abuse, etc. Sadly, I don't think we'll ever see episodes like that on `Cheaters' where the offenders act out for deeper reasons and are truly sorry for their actions. Nonetheless, there is a reason why a show like `Cheaters' exists: To show how cruel and heartless this world can be and to help a suspecting husband, wife, girlfriend or boyfriend find out if their mate is cheating on them. Hiring a private investigator and airing your business on national television may be extreme but what about the cheaters themselves? They obviously don't care enough to tell their loved ones what's going on and often do outrageous things to cover their tracks. So what is a lover to do when they openly question their spouse/girlfriend or boyfriend and do not get an honest response? What is one to do when families and friends know compelling information about their partner but won't say anything? To a degree, I cannot blame these people for seeking out outlandish forms to confirm their suspicions of a cheating lover. It's better to be sure than it is to be clueless, used and diagnosed with a sexually transmitted infection.
