Here's the film's entire plot. In a small village, there seems to be one phone and when it rings, they send for the older man who is the recipient. He finds out that his son had died as a result of drunk driving. He asks his wife to then go to Bangkok to retrieve the body while he goes hunting for food to feed the guests at the funeral....and that's it!!
I love foreign and independent films, so it isn't surprising I gave this Thai film a look. However, despite my love for international cinema, I'm not so blinded by this that I give every film glowing reviews. And in the case of MOTORCYCLE, I have to dissent from the other review that was quite glowing. I thought it was incredibly dull and not at all worth seeing, though the other reviewer enjoyed it quite a bit. My problem is that although the minute was 14 minutes long, it could easily have been told in two minutes--there is almost no plot and there is an absolute minimum of emotion or action.
