I really enjoyed Icewind Dale. But after 20 hours I completed it, and wanted more. Lucky for me the expansion is also very well written, and I enjoyed it as much as the original.
In Heart of Winter, you travel further north, to the town of Lonelywood, I will not reveal any more of the story here to avoid any spoilers.
The expansion was criticized by D&D fans, because they changed some of the rule sets from 2.edition rules to the newer 3.edition. To me it only make a better balanced game. If you liked Baldur's Gate, this is a must..
