The 24 Year Old Oliver Hardy
13 November 2001 | by (London, England) – See all my reviews

In the year that Charlie Chaplin signed up with Mutual Films as writer, director, producer and actor of his own short films, the 24 year old Oliver Hardy (known as Babe Hardy) was acting in short films. He would have to wait at least until another decade before he could achieve the same level of success as Chaplin.
