Remarkable but short-lived TV series, 31 August 2003

"El grupo" might have been one of the most remarkable TV series in Spain lately, but it's a shame it didn't manage to get the audiences' attention and was canceled after just one season. Its strength relies in the actors' work, specially young Barbara Goenaga's. As a depressed musician she provides a great, unaffected and sincere performance, very unlike the kind of performances one gets in most TV series. Also, as usual, veterans such as Héctor Alterio or Lola Herrera give their best and contribute to the quality of this short-lived series.
