A 6 minute narrated promotional short made for the original release of Close Encounters of the Third Kind, shot mostly in double and triple split screen. We see footage from the film, stills, behind the scene footage, and interviews.
The difference between close encounters of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd is explained, and Richard Dreyfuss tells how it took him 6 months to convince Spielberg to cast him in the lead role (a subject elaborated on in the 2001 102 minute 'Making of' documentary - also a DVD extra).
This short shows the shot of the white light at the end of the road that was used in the original advertising art, that is not seen in the final film.
