I saw "Barstow 2008" at the Director's View film festival in Stamford, CT in February. Unfortunately, I was one of the very few people to screen this hilarious film. The film introduces you to a small, sad town's wacky locals. The man dubbed the town schmuck gets the brilliant idea that the 2008 Summer Olympics should be held in their town, and goes about achieving his dream. Paul Willson was great('Paul' on "Cheers").
This film reminded me a lot of the 1986 David Byrne film "True Stories."
