What else can I say
16 January 2010 | by (India) – See all my reviews

Basically, everything has been spelled out by the other esteemed reviewers. About Sanjay Gupta being an unoriginal hack. That this movie is a remake of "A Better tomorrow", the movie that made a star out of Chow Yun Fat.

Yet no one can deny the stellar performance of deadly Dutt. I would also like to disagree about Aditya Panholi and Ajit. I think this was Pancholi's best performance ever. The scene in which Baba confronts Nawab after serving his term is heart wrenching. Raveena Tandon is great eye candy. However, can't say the same about Karishma Kapoor. And Atul Agnihotri and the dumb gratuitous musical numbers nearly spoil the movie. Yet Dutt and Pancholi save it. And watch out for Gulsahn Grover in yet another wacky role as a mafia boss, replete with mannerisms.

To conclude, this is one of my fondest memories as a child, hence all the ranting and raving. "Khate hain hum kasam" is one of the most underrated tracks from the 90s. Rest of the soundtrack, however, is sheer tripe.
