Rock 'n' roll damnation., 17 July 2009
Author: tyler-and-jack from Edinburgh.

Once again, I find myself reviewing a movie that defies any standard criticisms. It's a Japanese movie about a cool rock band who find themselves having to battle hordes of brain-dead zombies. If you read that sentence and have any doubts then this film is probably not for you but if you're already smiling then look it out and give it a try.

This movie has it all: aliens, zombies, some decent action and cool, cool guitar moments. Okay, maybe that's not all a film needs but it's all that THIS film needs because this film is simply all about the guitar-wielding, zombie-bashing fun of the situation.

The cast stay cool throughout, the effects are mixed but usually pretty good considering they're mainly all CGI and everything is thrown on screen with such gusto that all you really need to do is go with the flow to have an enjoyable time. Like many other movies I have seen through the years, this one is probably improved with the help of a few beers and a good viewing atmosphere.

See this if you like: Tears Of The Black Tiger, Versus, Planet Terror.
