Trivia

While O-Ren Ishii's age is never mentioned, we can gather that she is either 29 or 30, since The Bride states that she was 25 when she took her part in trying to kill her, and it is four years later. See more »

Goofs

At The House of Blue Leaves, when O-Ren suspects someone outside her private room, she throws a dart that sticks in a beam narrowly missing The Bride. When Go-Go goes to check things out, the dart is sticking in the beam in a downward angle when in the previous shot it was straight on. Also, considering O-Ren was seated and that the dart flew by the Bride at eye level, it would have been more conceivable for the dart to hit the beam at an upward angle, not downward. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Bill: Do you find me sadistic? You know, I bet I could fry an egg on your head right now, if I wanted to. You know, Kiddo, I'd like to believe that you're aware enough even now to know that there's nothing sadistic in my actions. Well, maybe towards those other... jokers, but not you. No Kiddo, at this moment, this is me at my most...
[cocks pistol]
Bill: masochistic.
The Bride: Bill... it's your baby...

what a disappointment
30 October 2003 | by (Sturgis, MI) – See all my reviews

I was 1/2 an inch from walking out of this movie the whole way through. People will say I do not understand Tarantino movies. Not true. I have seen them all. Loved all of them....maybe not loved on From Dusk till Dawn (but liked a lot). Acting was over-exaggerated as was all the fight scenes. Cheesy punch lines, stupid script, horrible rhythm of the movie itself in terms of flow, anime was good but did not fit in. Some comedy, dry and dark, but funny. Uma Thurman not beleivable as assasin at all. Overall, not at all even a shred of intrigue. I would not buy this for a christmas present for that person you hate but have to pretend you love on Christmas.
