Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is on Mobile: Here’s What It’s Like

“If I survive, can I go home?” “Yes, but only if everyone else is dead.” While the concept of children going into battle to kill each other is horrendous, films like Battle Royale and The Hunger Games were wildly popular. So popular that mods cropped up all over the place creating battle royal scenarios in combat survival video games. The most famous of these video game mods spawned Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (Pubg), one of the most popular online games on the planet. The game pits you and 99 other contestants against each other. You all land on an island with

Sean Gunn Says “No Plans” For The Belko Experiment Sequel…Yet

The Belko Experiment, arguably the scrappy underdog of 2016’s film selection, proved to be a rare cinematic treat – Office Space meets Battle Royale, as our own Matt Donato so aptly put it.

Sandwiched between Guardians of the Galaxy and its rip-roaring sequel, The Belko Experiment also lent James Gunn the chance to write and produce a tight-knit thriller, the likes of which we haven’t seen from the filmmaker since his days on Slither. He’s about to circle back to the genre thanks to his plum horror gig with Universal and Elizabeth Banks, but what about the chances of a true sequel to The Belko Experiment?

That very question was posed to Gunn’s younger brother, Sean Gunn (Marty Espenscheid in Tbe), during a recent interview with Screen Geek, to which he replied:

I don’t know. The movie was, I guess, a little bit of a success, but

Pubg Mobile is Now Available Alongside Fortnite – Let The Battle Begin!

Gaming fans are in for a bloodthirsty treat as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds makes its way from PC and Xbox One to mobile.

The popular Battle Royale game (loosely based on the 2000 movie) is an online multiplayer that parachutes 100 intrepid games onto an island in a last man standing situation. Scavenging weapons and taking out opponents one-by-one, the island’s safe zone decreases as the number of players dwindles until only one person is left victorious.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ New Loot Box Drop Rates Are Ridiculous

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a game that revolves around high stakes. Even the most skilled player will admit that at least part of the game’s Battle Royale-esque gameplay revolves around the luck of the draw, while its “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner” victory message even stems from gambling itself. However, the game’s most recent round of rare cosmetic drops are really pushing this random chance element to its limits.

Hi-Rez Studios Announces Battle Royale Game Mode Paladins:battlegrounds

Last year, Paladins was a free-to-play game that waged a war with Blizzard and managed to carve a strong path for its game in an Overwatch heavy world with a greater focus on competitive gameplay and balancing champions. For those that haven't been keeping tabs on them since they've succeeded and created an eSports scene that Blizzard is still trying to create for Overwatch for this day. Now, they're taking their hit game and moving into the next hottest thing to come out of gaming as they look to stun the gaming industry yet again with Paladins: Battlegrounds.

Paladins: Battlegrounds takes the popular Battle Royale genre first popularized by Pubg and blends that with the ability and team aspect that has made Paladins so successful. There will be no solo wrecking crews in this survival series as teams of five pop into a map 300 times the size of the usual

Next year, developer Techland will release a Dying Light expansion called Bad Blood that will add a brand-new PvP mode to the game. The studio stated that this mode was designed to address numerous requests they received from fans regarding a new way to enjoy Dying Light's PvP elements.

Their response will come in the form of what they describe as a nod to the "recent popularity of the Battle Royale genre among the survival horror fans." Unlike other popular PvP modes, this one will only allow six players to do battle. Actually, describing it as a "Battle Royale" mode really only tells half the story. Much

The Nastiest Movie Moments of 2017

Ben Robins on the nastiest movie moments of 2017…

It’s been a banner year for fairly disgusting things on-screen. No real guesses as to why, but we’re not here to slave over the reasons. We’re here to simply recount, and to celebrate.

From FrightFest-backed horrors, to gonzo arthouse dealings and even the occasional indie weepy, this year’s rundown of the grimiest and grisliest goings-on in film is actually, for the first time in a while, a little over-stuffed. And it’s not all just visceral gore either, 2017 saw a whole bunch of seriously effective psychological thrillers throwing their hat in the ring too, not to mention the occasional bit of dark humour. So without much further ado, and in no particular order…

*The following may contain spoilers*

Raw – The Finger

Originally hitting the festival circuit in 2016, Julia Ducournau’s coming-of-age cannibal horror was a serious breakout hit

Corporate Chaos Ensues In The Bloody First Clip For Mayhem

Think you’re having a bad day? Just wait until you see this new and blood-drenched clip for Mayhem, Joe Lynch’s corporate thriller that places Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) in the thick of an epic office brawl.

Arriving on the eve of release – Mayhem is due to hit VOD and Digital HD tomorrow, November 10th – the promo below is all about Yeun’s cubicle slave, Derek Cho, who takes up arms alongside Samara Weaving (Ash vs. Evil Dead, The Babysitter) after being framed for corporate espinoage.

As luck would have it, those allegations come just as a mysterious virus sweeps through the office, reducing everyone in its vicinity into a blood-thirsty maniac. And that’s when Mayhem really begins to live up to its evocative title. After all, what else did you expect from the director behind Wrong Turn 2?

Here’s the synopsis for more:

There's A Chinese Mobile Clone Of Playerunknown's Battlegrounds In Development, And It Doesn't Look Half Bad

Battle Royale style games are the new Moba, and as such, lots of gaming companies are cloning PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds in an attempt to take a swipe at the top dog's massive profits. While Pubg seems all to focused on Fortnite as of late, a well known Chinese company Tencent has announced their own Pubg clone by the name of Glorious Mission. In creating this game, Tencent hopes to climb atop the mobile gaming charts in China, and possibly the world.

If the game is as smooth as this trailer makes it seem, they might just do it:

You guys aren't going to believe this.

It looks like Tencent are making a battle royale game.

Who saw that coming?

— Daniel Ahmad (@ZhugeEX) November 7, 2017

That's pretty solid gameplay for a mobile game that claims it will boast 100 man battles! It's worth noting that Tencent owns a

Playerunknown's Battlegrounds Has No Plans For Single-Player Campaign

If you're playing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and hoping that there will soon be a deep story driven campaign attached to the project, you can kill that dream right now. Creator of the series Brendan Greene says the whole prospect is an impossibility at the moment:

"We have no resources. We have no time. We have no plans to add anything like this to the game. No, no single-player is coming to Battlegrounds."

That's kind of a Bs excuse, mind you, because Pubg has made enough money in the short time they've been around they can 100% hire a bigger team and make campaign a reality if they wanted to. That said, with as much money as the game is making in its current state combined with its massive player base, there's no reason to add a single-player experience at the moment. While that could one day change, Greene admits, that day isn't coming anytime soon.

WrestleForce: Wickford (21/10/17) – Results & Review

WrestleForce is a great way to see live professional wrestling in the UK, with upcoming events every week in Essex. I attended the latest event at the Wick Community Centre in Wickford, which despite the small venue manage to create quite an atmosphere with a sell-out crowd.

The layout of the venue means that the crowd are sectioned onto one side of the ring, but with the limited capacity of the venue, you feel really close to action especially when they bring the fight out to the crowd. It is one of the highlights of watching live wrestling in such as small venues, as you are given an opportunity to have a close interaction with the action. I was on edge for more than one occasion that a child may get accident crushed during one of the fights in the crowd, but thankfully no accidents occurred as the wrestlers frequently brawled between the amazed spectators.

Tad 2017: Game Of Death Review

After watching Game Of Death, from Montreal-based first feature writer-director duo Sebastien Landry and Laurence Morais, I wasn't sure what to think. Was it a quick and easy copy of so many other films in the teen/young adult kill-or-be-killed sub-genre – think Battle Royale, Hunger Games, or even the almighty Miike's As The Gods Will - or was it some kind of statement about the ability and inability of today's youth to behave in a morally and ethically responsible fashion when faced with an impossible dilemma? I sat at my keyboard not knowing what to write for [Continued ...]

Someone Is Making A Vr Version Of Pubg To Really Bring Us Into The Future

If you've ever wanted to enter a virtual arena akin to Player Unknown Battleground, your luck is in. Oneiric Entertainment have announced that they have started on a game called Virtual Battleground, which will be a Battle Royale in Vr. The developers have treated us to a short gameplay video, which you can see here:

It will featured squad teams and free-for-alls, but don't expect a massive rollout of giant teams. Vr headsets have a small player base for now, so limits are set at 16 players per game. The developers are offering Alpha testing right now, so be sure to visit their site if you want to sign up.

This reminds me so much of the movie, 'The Gamer'. This will surely be one intense experience, but since I am still waiting to get a Psvr just to try Resident Evil 7 out on it, it will probably be a long

Grimmfest 2017: Tag Review: Dir. Sion Sono

Tag Review: A girl’s life cascades into chaos as everyone around her suffers a gruesome fate in Sion Sono’s latest film venture.

Tag review by Luke Ryan Baldock.

Tag Review

When entering a Sion Sono film, it is best to expect the unexpected. He’s created 4 hour masterpieces, grotesque exploitation films, and even a hip-hop musical. He’s one of the most fascinating directors around whose films should constantly cause excitement. Having not had a year off since 1997 (though 2003’s effort was a short), and peaking in 2015 with 4 feature films and a TV movie, his prolificity may bring into question the quality of his products, it’s surprising just how many hits Sono can come out with. Tag certainly contains a number of his trademarks, most notably having absolutely no idea what is going to happen, and it certainly feels like a quicker produced film. Fortunately, at a
