The Butthole Surfers' bizarre sense of humor is on full display here
15 June 2007 | by (Worcester, MA) – See all my reviews

Fans of the infamous Butthole Surfers will enjoy this video. Its a short parody of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" that leads into a performance of the band. The scenes leading into the performance feature a bizarre and morbid yet funny sense of humor, as you'd come to expect from this band. The direction by Alex Winter (best known as Bill S. Preston, Esq in "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure) has a nice underground style that'll readily appeal to fans of the band. Those unfamiliar with them will probably be alienated and weirded out. The performance itself is pretty good and although its staged, it gives you a good idea of what these guys sounded like live at the time. (7/10)
