Ordinarily, I don't give ten big dumps about the life and times of celebrities. But this news-type show had a train-wreck watchability. After a shaky start, where they tried to be *too* newsy, they settled into the Access Hollywood/Entertainment Tonight mode. However, very rarely were the segments about their movies or shows, it was mostly about their lives.
Now maybe average folks like us do not give stuff up about their personal lives. For some reason, famous individuals spotlighted are held up to a higher standard than us, so hearing their negatives somehow humanizes them. They're fallible and bear problems and imperfections. So, much like the magazine, Uncovered was a simple matter of putting it all to video. Unfortunately, it really was radio with pictures, and the mag is still a top seller. I still liked it, I hadn't read the magazine in a while anyway.
