Fun Stuff
Trivia:
In the pilot, Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm (1999) (TV), it was stated that Larry and Cheryl had children though they were never shown. In the series, they do not have children. more
Goofs:
Continuity: In season one Jeff and Larry talk about having given leftovers to a homeless man before they actually did it. more
Quotes:
[Larry is following directions that told him to make a turn when he saw a barn]
Larry:
Was that a barn? Was that a barn? I think it was too small to be a barn, it looked more like a stable. There was a cow there, does that mean... what? That it could have been a barn? There's no cows in barns. There's cows on a farm. Are there always barns on farms? There are stables in farms, right, but not necessarily barns? I don't think that was the barn.
[long pause]
Larry:
I think we made the wrong turn.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" is my new litmus test for how I respond to people. Occasionally, I'll meet those " I-just-don't-get-it" people, or someone of the "I-don't-think-it's-very-funny" persuasion. This is a real time-saver, because I know right away that these are people whom I needn't bother with.
More often, I'm inclined to meet people who tell me that CYE is the only comedy on TV that makes them laugh out-loud... or that they make plans to either be home on Sunday night or to tape it. These are "my people" -- kindred spirits.
To those of you who don't get it, Go back to your sitcoms with the enhanced laugh track that tells you what's supposed to be funny. (Or better yet, you can rent "Dude, Where's My Car?" again.) Those of us who think this is the most innovative sitcom to come down the pike in recent memory are happy to have this show all to ourselves.
Thank you Larry and cast and crew for giving me an excuse to fire up the old Trinitron once a week.
