According to Bruce Prichard, he was given the choice to go on the road full time as Undertaker's manager and continue the Brother Love character, or to give up the Brother Love character and bring in Percy Pringle as Paul Bearer, with Prichard continuing to work backstage as a producer. As Prichard loved producing, he chose to work behind the scenes, and so this became the only pay-per-view event to feature Brother Love as the Undertaker's manager.
