The Gobbledygooker, a human-turkey hybrid, made his debut here by hatching from a giant "egg". Many fans believe this to be among the worst gimmicks in WWE history. More notably, The Undertaker made his WWE debut at this event.
Final Survivor Series appearance for The Ultimate Warrior, who disappeared from the WWF after SummerSlam 1991 less than a year later, and his two ensuing returns to the WWF did not include appearances at the Survivor Series.
It will be noted by long-time wrestling fans the team name of the 'Warriors', comprising of the WWF champion Ultimate Warrior; the Legion Of Doom, who had previously worked as the Road Warriors for the AWA and NWA; and the 'Texas Tornado' Kerry Von Erich, whose WCCW/USWA moniker was the 'Modern Day Warrior'
According to Bruce Prichard, he was given the choice to go on the road full time as Undertaker's manager and continue the Brother Love character, or to give up the Brother Love character and bring in Percy Pringle as Paul Bearer, with Prichard continuing to work backstage as a producer. As Prichard loved producing, he chose to work behind the scenes, and so this became the only pay-per-view event to feature Brother Love as the Undertaker's manager.
In early promotions for this event, Bad News Brown was advertised as a member of Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar Team. However, Bad News ended up being replaced by the Undertaker, making his WWF television debut at this event.
