Storyline

Dana Boyer (Farrell), a dog kennel owner, and Kevin Grant (Hasselhoff), a fireman, are passionate, fun-loving adults who meet when Kevin rescues Dana from a burning car. Both are struck by the overwhelming feeling that they have just met their soul mate, but unfortunately neither learns the other's name. To complicate matters, both are engaged to other people. When they try to locate one another their efforts are wrought with obstacles. However, fate is on their side when unbeknownst to each other, they both employ the same 10 year-old foster child who is working double time in order to finance a trip to find his mother. When he discovers that his two bosses are pining for one another, he works to bring them together.

Goofs

Just prior to the BMW crash, it is shown to be driving at a very slow speed (especially compared to the fire department truck), perhaps 10-15 MPH. From a speed of 20 MPH, the car would stop in about 20-30 feet once the brakes were applied. It would not slide the long distance shown and retain enough energy to go through the guard wires on the side of the road.

This is a wonderful movie/more, more

I just wanted to say that i just loved this movie. David and Terry were both just wonderful. I love this movie and i watch it every time it comes on TV. I would love to buy this movie if it ever comes up for sale. We need more of this kind of movie these days, all we have is murder and gory kinds of movies. We need better movies for our kids to watch. My little great grandson watches this with me and he just loves it. We always watch a movie on Friday or Saturday nights and if i had this movie at home we would watch it every Friday night. I will watch Beaches tonight and i have watched it at least 100 times if not more. I guess i am just an old romantic about these good movies. Thanks so much for letting me make my comments.Please make more movies like this.
