This short is beautifully drawn and animated. Depending on your point of view, the title character is either immaculate or insane. Personally, I think he just believes in doing his job extremely well. There's no dialogue here and none is needed. How this failed to be nominated for an Academy Award puzzles me. It would never have won, of course-that was the year of Creature Comforts and one of the Wallace and Gromit shorts. Wonderful use of black and white. This can be found on two of the Spike and Mike's Festival of Animation tapes and is most definitely worth getting. Most highly recommended.
