Own the rights?
Up until Shane Douglas took over booking for the company XPW was pretty weak. THe shows were terrible, usually featuring one match and a lot of bad angles and crappy looking ads. most of the wrestlers were trained by Vern Langdon, who was not the best wrestling trainer in the world. The angles and vignettes looked more like porno than wrestling. Since the company was ran by a porno producer that's not a surprise. The wrestlers that DID have talent weren't focused nearly enough, maybe because XPW had little money. THe announcing was terrible, with Chris Closs doing a poor man's Joey Styles imitation and Larry Rivera 9the original) doing some decent stuff, but with a bad accent. The second Larry Rivera was just a horrible knock off that couldn't hold a candle to the original. For the week he was with the show Joey Styles improved it slightly, but only one match per show-and often severely cut, was awful.
