This wonderful, very moving and at the same time funny film tells the story of two friends, who cannot be more different from each other: Paul (Steffen Wink) is an attractive, extrovert, often superficial ladies' man, while Alex (Frank Giering) is an introvert young man who had one leg amputated as a child. Though so different, they are the best of friends and also work both as comedians. While preparing for an important comedy contest, Alex learns that he is terminally ill.
