All-sex soft porn quickie w/some great-looking femmes
31 January 2011 | by (New York, New York) – See all my reviews

All-sex films didn't start with the video era -here's a 42-year-old piece of nonsense that is wall-to-wall sex. Thankfully some lovely women were cast.

Setting is a bar and accompanying back area where the sex occurs. A Michael Chiklis type guy is getting the softcore sex action, serviced by two beautiful femmes. Film's highlight is when two blondes with highly contrasting figures have a lesbian scene, noteworthy for showcasing four fabulous nipples.

The catch is that for whatever unknown reason the anonymous filmmakers have been unable to coax any passion from their leading ladies. The flatter-chested of the two stars looks not merely uncomfortable but seems to be appearing under protest, a la Linda Lovelace's tales of being drugged and force to do porn. I found it a major turn-off, especially in the softcore genre where one doesn't have closeups of generic sex acts to fall back on.

SPOILER AHEAD:

It's not really a spoiler, since it's a twist given away on the back of the DVD-R box (Something Weird's Vol. 7 in its Bucky's Softies two-fer series), but film ends abruptly when an irate jerk storms in and shoots the cast, presumably representing a jealous husband or boy friend. This footage is so arbitrary as to be quite jarring.

Along the way there's a sexy masturbation scene by guest star Suzanne Fields conducted in front of an "infinite regression" type mirror. This is a bit of imaginativeness that doesn't belong in the film at all. Similarly, there's an abbreviated scene, just lasting seconds rather than minutes, of a baby-faced, huge-breasted (with shiny nipples) young brunette dancing alone in the bar -just tossed into the feature and too brief to be the intended turn-on.

On this softcore Something Weird double bill is a movie not listed at all in IMDb that is worth noting: EROTIC POINT OF VIEW. It concerns a writer doing research who hires prostitutes and various guys to perform sex for him. It is quite unusual in that it's filmed via first-person camera from the writer's point-of-view, anticipating the now-cornball format of Buttman and Rodney Moore videos decades later.

It is also particularly nasty and hard to watch, including an interracial rape scene that convincingly depicts the young virgin trussed up in bondage & subjected to forced sex when her pleas of "please stop" fall on not just the deaf ears of the rapist but also the creepy writer who's in charge. This film deserves documentation just on the basis of its sheer cruelty and awfulness.
