The apparently motiveless murder of a woman leads the team to a microchip factory.
Esther Kennedy's body falls from an overpass and lands on the roof of her boyfriend's car. The autopsy reveals that she died from a blow to the head and was dead before she fell.
The investigation leads the team to a computer chip company where staff are behaving very strangely. Not the least being Paul Kennedy, the victim's husband.
Meanwhile Texie Wray, a lorry driver, has organized with some petty criminals to hijack his load. When he reports the theft the company instructs him not to contact the police. When his two accomplices are brutally murdered he goes into hiding.
During the investigation DI Robbie Ross is implicated and it appears he is on the take.
This episode has a lukewarm plot. However, some excellent acting, particularly from Caroline Langrishe, saves the day.
