A small masterpiece

This little animated movie is so precious. I used to watch this over and over in my childhood and I still adore it as an adult. There is nothing wrong with this little movie. It is simply timeless, magical and really charming. The quality of its drawings and painting, as well as the colors, are first rate, all hand-made, therefore pure. Rupert Bear is an endearing character and the other characters are enjoyable as well. And even though this is less than 15 minutes long, it isn't a cartoon with no real plot like Tom & Jerry and The Pink Panther. This one has a plot, and a very good one. A perfect little movie for those who have sensibility towards this kind of movie, regardless of their age.

This was written and produced by the (even then already) ex-Beatle Paul McCartney, who also provides the voice for Rupert Bear, Bill and Boy Frog. I really like the voice he does for Rupert Bear. Other good vocal talents include June Whitfield as the voice of Rupert's mother and Windsor Davies as the voice of Rupert's father, Edward and Father Frog.

The frog song "We all stand together" is very memorable, as much of a classic as the movie itself.

This wonderful little movie also has some darkness, which is another thing that I always appreciate in movies.

To finish my review, I think that this should be on Top 250, even if it's only a short.
