Queen announce the coronation of Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury in upcoming biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody

The upcoming Queen biopic, tentatively called Bohemian Rhapsody, “Is finally happening,” according to a statement on the band’s website on Friday, and it will star Rami Malek as lead vocalist, songwriter and pianist Freddie Mercury. Now, according to The Sun, X-Men: Apocalypse star Ben Hardy has become the latest addition to the cast, reuniting him with director Singer, as he takes on the role of the band’s drummer Roger Taylor.

Bohemian Rhapsody will chronicle the rise of the legendary British rock band leading up to their appearance at Live Aid in 1985.  Anthony McCarten (The Theory of Everything) has penned the script, and Graham King (The Departed) is producing alongside Queen members Taylor and Brian May. »
