User Reviews

A hilarious and surprisingly moving magical comedy.
28 July 2002 | by (New York, NY) – See all my reviews

I was in the audience at the Stony Brook Film Festival and found a little gem that I hope I'll get to see again. Returning Mickey Stern has more one-liners than most Hollywood blockbuster comedies (everyone laughed A LOT), but it also has a lot more depth--I still have it in my head. This is a story about second chances, magic, and baseball, and it is as much of a buddy movie as a love story. The guys who came along loved the Heineken joke, and the girl I was with loved the last scene on the beach.
