There is no plot description with this film, but if this is the film I believe it is (I was an American in Rome who saw this film with Italian dialogue), it is the story of a young man who falls in love with a young woman who wants to learn, in a culture which does not offer many educational opportunities to anyone, male or female . The film describes life in a "third world" country in which education offers a way out and up, but especially resonates with anyone from any culture who must watch those in search of opportunity disappear from our lives.
