Trivia

The streets and names on the map that Cindy reads are all significant to horror films or horror lore. Hades Dr. is a reference to Hades, Greek God of the Underworld; Elm St. is an obvious reference to A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984); and Kane Manor is either a reference to Kane Hodder, who played Jason Voorhees in four Friday the 13th films or the character Kane, from Poltergeist II: The Other Side (1986) and Poltergeist III (1988). Quotes

Dwight Hartman: Let's split up.
Brenda Meeks: Uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh UH! Now wait a minute, hold up! How come when anytime this scary shit happens, and we should stick together, you white people always say "let's split up"?
Theo: She's right, we should stick together.
Dwight Hartman: She's right. Okay.
[pointing to the white people in the group]
Dwight Hartman: You three, follow me!
[the three black people are left alone]
Shorty Meeks: Ain't that a bitch.
[the three of them begin to cry]
Brenda Meeks: We gonna die, y'all.

Even funnier than Scary Movie! (some spoilers)
4 July 2001 | by (California) – See all my reviews

I just got back from "Scary Movie 2" just about an hour ago and I'm still laughing from thinking about it.

The cameos by James Woods, Veronica Cartwright, and Natasha Lyonne are funny enough just to pay for admission. But that's before the film starts to get funnier as the Wayans spoof "The Haunting," "Hannibal," "Save the Last Dance," and "Charlie's Angels." The only (semi) downside to the movie was that the sex jokes in this were racier than the ones in the original film, especially the spoof of "Titanic" that ends very messily.

But besides that, "Scary Movie 2" may probably be the most fun you will probably have at the movies this summer.
