.Valiant Entertainment and Sony Pictures today announced a deal to bring two of Valiant’s award-winning comic book superhero franchises—Bloodshot and Harbinger—to the big screen over the course of five feature films that will culminate in the shared universe crossover film, Harbinger Wars.

Bloodshot, arriving in theaters in 2017, will kick off the five-picture plan leading to Harbinger Wars and will be directed by David Leitch & Chad Stahelski (John Wick) from a script by Jeff Wadlow (Kick Ass 2) and Eric Heisserer (Story of Your Life). Neal H. Moritz and Toby Jaffe from Original Film (The Fast and the Furious franchise) and Dinesh Shamdasani from Valiant Entertainment will produce the film. Matthew Vaughn and Jason Kothari will serve as executive producers. »

'Fantastic Four' Cast Suit Up in 4 New Images

20th Century Fox and Josh Trank have not been shy about showing us the new superhero costumes from the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. Gone is the bright blue spandex adorned with a giant 4. In its place is a black tactical suit that looks like it would be worn by a member of S.W.A.T. or someone about to do some very dangerous stunts on a BMX bike. Total Film has released 4 more images from the summer adventure, giving us a better look at Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm, Miles Teller as Reed Richards and Kate Mara as Sue Storm.

This new Fantastic Four is said to be inspired by Marvel's Unlimited Fantastic Four comic books, the Amblin films of the 80s and David Cronenberg's 'body horror' masterpieces such as The Fly and Scanners, which should prove to be an interesting mix. ‘Texas Rising’ to World Premiere at MipTV in Cannes

London — “Texas Rising,” which will air on History in the U.S., is set for TV conference MipTV in Cannes as its World Premiere TV Screening.

The new epic series is produced by A+E Studios and ITV Studios America, in association with Thinkfactory Media for History, and it is distributed by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

The first episode will be screened in Cannes’ Palais des Festivals on April 13, and key cast and the creators will walk the red carpet for MipTV’s opening party.

Texas Rising” stars Bill Paxton (“Hatfields & McCoys”), Brendan Fraser (“The Mummy”), Ray Liotta (“Goodfellas”), Olivier Martinez (“S.W.A.T.”) and country music star Kris Kristofferson.

Leslie Greif (“Hatfields & McCoys”) is executive producer, and Roland Joffé, who was Oscar-nominated for “The Killing Fields” and “The Mission,” is directing.

The eight-hour series details the Texas Revolution and the rise of the Texas Rangers. It follows the events that unfold »

Olivier Martinez Signs With Paradigm

Exclusive: French actor Olivier Martinez has signed on as a client with Paradigm. The Paris-born thesp who has a César Award under his belt (for 1993’s Un, deux, trois, soleil) most recently appeared last season on ABC’s Revenge as French billionaire media mogul Pascal LeMarchal. He’ll next be seen in History Channel’s upcoming May 25 miniseries Texas Rising playing Antonio López de Santa Anna, the 19th century Mexican general known as the Napoleon of the West, in a cast that includes Bill Paxton, Ray Liotta, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Brendan Fraser, and Chad Michael Murray.

Martinez’s big screen credits include Unfaithful with Diane Lane and Richard Gere, Before Night Falls opposite Javier Bardem, S.W.A.T. with Samuel L. Jackson, D.J. Caruso’s Taking Lives, and Dark Tide with Halle Berry.
