Against the backdrop of the monotonous clicking sound of a mechanical taximeter, an enigmatic, world-weary man ponders on bygone times in the back seat of a taxi. While carrying his wooden coffin in the boot, more and more, the passenger lures the unsuspecting cab driver into a strange game as he embarks on a one-way trip to the unknown. But, throughout the life journey of the weary man, one woman seems to haunt his very existence: Karkalou, a lover, a companion, a prostitute.
