Chilling account of father-son relationship
26 November 2003 | by See all my reviews

or more accurately, the father-son conflicts in modern day China. The fatherly love of the old teaching is no attraction to the rebellious son of contemporary China, and this is the problem faced by most Chinese parents in the rapidly changing Chinese society. The honest description of the social problems and conflicts had touched the nerves of the regime and consequently, this film was banned in its motherland.
