The murder of an underworld figure, Takis Katridis, puts Martha, a young girl who was in love with him, as well as her father, craftsman Giannis, in the dock. Each one of them, separately, claims to be the guilty one, so that the other won't go to prison. During the trial, however, their counsel, who grew up with them and knows Martha very well, takes the initiative and follows his own defense strategy, managing thus to prove the girl's innocence and save her from jail.
