Speculation is mounting that Kim Kardashian and her ex-beau, Reggie Bush, are rekindling their on-again, off-again relationship. According to TMZ.com, the twice former item enjoyed an intimate meal together on the patio area of the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel over the weekend. Sources say the two were smiling and joking but the appearance of autograph seekers had them cooling off. A witness told HollywoodLife.com, "Kim and Reggie had a late brunch. They sat in the outdoor patio area for almost two hours eating, laughing and definitely flirting. Kim had The McCarthy Salad and Reggie had Eggs Benedict. Earlier this month, Matthew Fox (Lost) was cast in the upcoming political thriller Emperor. Set at the end of World War II, Fox will play Gen. Bonner Fellers, one of General Douglas MacArthur's leading Japanese experts during a time when MacArthur was temporarily in charge as the de facto ruler of Japan as supreme commander of the occupying forces. Fellers struggles with the decision whether Emperor Hirohito should be tried and hanged as a war criminal, while also searching for his lost love, a Japanese exchange student he had met years before in the U.S.
With Fox set for the lead role, it was only a matter of time before an actor was cast to play Gen. MacArthur, and, according to ComingSoon, director Peter Webber (Hannibal Rising, Girl With a Pearl Earring) has decided on Tommy Lee Jones for the role. The historical epic Emperor has gained some considerable dramatic weight with the addition of Tommy Lee Jones. Directed by Peter Webber (The Girl with the Pearl Earring), the film takes place during the days following the Japanese surrender at the end of World War II. Jones will play General Douglas MacArthur, the de facto ruler of Japan as Supreme Commander of the occupying forces. Matthew Fox stars as a leading Japanese expert on the staff of MacArthur who is tasked with deciding whether or not Emperor Hirohito should be tried and hanged as a war criminal. It’s a fascinating story, and one that I’m even more excited to see told with the addition of Jones. Production is set to begin this month in New Zealand and Japan. Jones will next be seen in Men in Black 3 this May, and also stars in Great Hope Springs with Meryl Streep and Steve Carell. »

Lost star Matthew Fox has signed on to star as the lead in Emperor, a Japan-set political thriller to be directed by Peter Webber (The Girl with a Pearl Earring). Inspired by true events, the film takes place at the end of World War II. Fox will play General Bonner Fellers, a Japanese expert who serves as the de facto ruler of Japan and is faced with the decision of whether the emperor Hirohito should be charged with war crimes and hanged for his actions in the global conflict. Fellers is also searching for the Japanese girl he met when she was an exchange student in America years earlier.
David Klass (Kiss the Girls) and Vera Blasi (Tortilla Soup) have written a script and shooting starts at the end of the month in New Zealand and Japan. Matthew Fox has a number of other films due for release this year. »

Having taken a cinematic break after his tenure on Lost, Matthew Fox is set to star in two high-profile films in 2012: Rob Cohen’s I, Alex Cross and Marc Forster’s World War Z. Looking even further ahead, Fox is now reported to have landed a role in Emperor, by director Peter Webber (Girl with the Pearl Earring). Emperor spins a love story amidst the turmoil of the final days of World War II, as General Douglas MacArthur rules Japan as supreme commander of the occupying forces after the Japanese surrender. Fox will play General Bonner Fellers, an attaché to MacArthur who is tasked with determining Emperor Hirohito’s fate in defeat.
