Storyline

Gopichand Verma is a retired Judge of the Supreme Court of India. He re-locates to scenic Ooty and decides to live there in a palatial home. He has a cook/servant in Badriprasad Chaurasia. When Chaurasia wins a lottery, he quits, and Verma hires a woman by the name of Nandini in his place. He soon finds out that there is a mystery behind Nandini and her presence in his house, apart from the fact that she is mentally imbalanced. When he probes further, he finds that she is claiming to be his illegitimate daughter. He does accept her and decides to let her live there, but his wife, his son, his sister, his son-in-law, and daughter have other plans - for they have hired notorious hit-man Samar Khan to abduct and kill Nandini at any cost. Is Nandini really Verma's daughter? Why would the Verma family want her dead? Written by rAjOo (gunwanti@hotmail.com)

The story is about a girl whom selfish people want to get murdered out of sheer misunderstanding.

I saw the Movie "Muskarahat" about 14 years ago for the first time. Its impact is so great in my mind that I wish to see it again and again when I wish to have a pleasant mood with real laughters. The story was woven beautifully with main focus on comedy.I rank this film in the category of best Indian comic stories like Angoor,Kam-chor, Chashm-bad-dour,Hangama, Chachi-420,Gol Mal, etc.But unfortunately this beautiful film could not make good business on the box office as I hear. This is the light comedy, with Amrish puri and Annu Kapoor at their best. The rest of the actors have equally done well.Jay Mehta & Rivathi, the Hero and Heroine, although new faces, performed well.I started liking Jagdeep after watching this movie. Two songs are very melodious. The jokes are original and aptly fitted into the powerful story. The standard of direction is excellent. The Director,Priyadarshan has kept every minor thing in view and endeavored that the viewer gets the maximum charm and recreation out of the production.
